Treasure Your Love eBook JC Reed

This is what happens when authors spend three part series without much to the story plot! I barely tolerated the part two - conquer your love and the part three was even more dismal!

This book was so boring and flat it did not connect with me on any level. The sex scenes were over blown and long winded that after the first sex scene in the book it got down hill from there! The build up to the sex was just that build up - they were so long that I got exhausted from waiting for some action. I'm sorry but no-one builds up sex to that level that 13% into the book we were still reading about the build up.
The contrast in a billionaire needing his old bike mates just did not ring true for me, if the guy was so rich he pretty much can buy security at the level he needed to protect his girlfriend. I found that the girlfriend completely lost herself in all of the multiple plots the author was trying to create to give credibility to having a part three that even the hero lost some his charisma, power and influence!

I hated this book that it dragged for me for over two weeks I was still struggling to finish; and still I'm 82% in giving the fact that the entire book is only 300 and something pages, that must be sheer boredom for a book I should have breezed through in a day or two.

A shame of a book! I would not recommend it on any level! No ado about nothing - that phrase sums the book two and three up, while the book one was steaming but the story lost its luster along the way! Had the author simply made a one part book it would have sizzled without the overblown effect of the other two books!

Shame on all these authors who are wasting our monies, time and much needed escape system!
Please join us on the couch and read if you cannot come up with worthy story lines and plots!

Treasure Your Love eBook JC Reed Reviews

Okay, so, I'm not too sure where to begin with this review. I mean, up until the ending of this book, I was sucked in to the storyline and anxiously awaiting the outcome of Brooke and Jett's future. I mean, I guess we did get an outcome but it was detailed and it surely wasn't the conclusion I was pinning for, that is for sure.

"Life has a way of throwing everything around. Sometimes I couldn't stop the feeling that we were all trapped inside a cup called life, and like dice shaken around and thrown out. Ready to be tested and played. Ready to risk and face the unthinkable. Ready to lose and get hurt. And it didn't matter how high the social status was or how much money a person had, it could affect everything, anytime and anywhere. We were all at mercy of the shaking up called life."

The above quote is a direct quote from the book at the beginning of chapter 7. I think J.C. Reed has done a fantastic job at describing life and the twists and turns and the simply known that appears in our daily journey in this World.

This book takes the readers in to a more in-depth look in to Jett's past while being involved in a gang and the twists and turns of the world involving the estate and club that Brooke has inherited. While the book leads the reader's to believe that Jett's own Father, Robert Mayfield, is the mastermind behind the chaos and heartache, it appears that the unthinkable person creating all of the chaos is actually someone else. Someone that I truly did not see being portrayed as the mastermind behind all the evil taking place.

The book had a way of sucking you in and wrapping you around it's finger and then when you least expect it, it just simply vanishes. The book was great. The storyline was great. The series was great. Then, the book is building and building and building up to the end and you're waiting for the 'BAM' factor at the end of the book, except, it doesn't come. It just....just...ends. Luckily, there is a brief note from the author stating that we would be getting an addition to the story to finish out the story of Brooke and Jett and it appears we will learn the fate of the Danny, Liz, Sylvie and Kenny as well. YAY!

So now the wait beings for the final installment of the series (bummer, I hate waiting!!).
I've read the series and wish I had not because I can't get that time back. Book 1 was very cliched, rich guy-Jett, poorish girl-Brooke. They're both hot, but the author feels it's important to tell you just how hot Jett is in all three books on pages 3, 4, 6, 9, 11.5, 15, 16, 17, 21....you get the picture. Book 2 was especially bad about this and for that I gave it a one star because I felt that was most of the content. Book 3 gets a two star because there was actually some content that wasn't about Jett's awesome, hot, delicious, ripped, gorgeous bod and face that you hear about from Brooke's POV while her panties are soiling....albeit you still get a lot of Brooke blushing every time she sees Jett and his hottness. By book 3, I hated Brooke. She was annoying as all get out and I couldn't see why the hunky Jett had any interest in her whatsoever. The story became interesting when the plot switched to some secret club that did despicable things. Part of this plot was with Jett having to call in a favor to old racing buddies in a gang who did illegal activities. Why would he need to do this when he was super rich and could buy muscle instead of having to go back to his old gang that he didn't trust. This didn't really add anything to the story because it seemed to be just filler with the center of his involvement in paying back the favor was Jett racing so that the lead guy could win back money a bunch of people owed him. The action might have been okay had Brooke not been in the car with him while he was racing being her annoying, uptight self. All I kept thinking was "shut your pie hole or else he'll end up crashing because you keep distracting him with your whining and incessant stupid chatter."
I was so disappointed with the end of the 2nd book and how it didn't address any of the issues surrounding the estate, so I was very happy that this book not only continued to show more of Jett and Brooke, but also wrapped up the estate side of the storyline. Lots of twists as per usual and some new characters and an insight into Jeff's past which was nice. Brooke and Jett have to work through more issues but I love that they have those issues - makes them real! Overall very good end to the series.
